Account Deletion Request

How can I request the deletion of my account and data?

You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time. You can do this in two ways:

Option 1: Deletion directly within the app

  1. Open the FamWake app on your smartphone.
  2. Navigate to the Settings.
  3. Select the option Leave family / Delete account.
  4. Confirm the security prompt. Your account and all personal profile data (wake-up times, name, etc.) will be immediately deleted from the server.

Option 2: Request deletion via email

If you no longer have the app installed, you can request data deletion via email:

  1. Send an email to daniel.notthoff@gmail.com.
  2. Please use "Account Deletion Request - FamWake" as the subject line.
  3. Please send the email from the address associated with your account, or provide the registration email address in your message so we can identify the correct account.
  4. We will completely delete your account and all associated data within 14 days of verifying your request.

What data will be deleted?

When you request a deletion, the following data will be permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers (Google Firebase):

What data is retained? (Data retention period)

We generally delete all your personal data completely upon a deletion request, as we do not need to retain user data for longer periods.

However, if you are subscribed to our Early Access waitlist (via Formspree), you may need to unsubscribe separately or let us know in your email that you want this waitlist entry removed as well. The waitlist will be completely deleted anyway once the launch campaign is concluded.
